Like Viva Terra, West Elm has a few gorgeous pieces in a friendly price range. While cost is always a consideration, and certain investment pieces are just that - expensive investments (sofa post to come . . . ) it is always wonderful to pay a reasonble price for a piece that looks much more expensive. For exalmple, when well done, the sparkle of metallic and mirrored pieces adds instant glamour to any space, and can be done on any budget.

| The classic Parsons table, hailing from my favorite period and place, 1930s France, is hand-wrapped here in a metal antiqued finish and outfitted with drawers to act as a desk. This will be a must for my office-to-be. |
| Here the Parsons has been mirrored. Lovely as a desk, for the boudoir or as a console. |
| A metallic silver laquer tray. |
| The mercury glass pendant would be perfect over a carrera marble island countertop. |
| The mercury glass tear drop base will have this lamp glowing from both ends. |
| This clear pendant with the retro, chromed bulb is both totally modern and classic. |
| Fur throws are not just lovely to look at - given our San Francisco weather, they are used every day in most rooms of my home. |
| I had to post these pretty Hanukkah plates, as they would go perfectly with my already posted Nambe menorah, below. |
| What a pretty table this would be, with all manners of blue, white and silver tablewear. |
