The Art of the Line: Josef Hoffmann

It would be fair to say that I am obsessive about lines.  Lengths, widths, curves, flow - use any descriptive term as appropriate - the shape of anything can mean its success or failure as a thing of beauty.  In the early 20th century,  Josef Franz Maria Hoffman (1870 - 1956; b. Moravia; d. Vienna) created vessels with extraordinarily graceful lines which transformed useful objects into works of art.
